It would seem we need congress to revisit the entire 501 nonprofit framework and correct or eliminate the loopholes that allow this type of behavior to happen.

501(3) appears to be the gateway that needs to be forensically separated from (4),(5), (6), otherwise (3) is just a front for all the nefarious activities happening behind the veil.

You’ve described something I saw in my career as a civilian working in the military. The last few years I worked contingency planning for natural disasters and pandemics. We worked with our state and regional EMAs, National Guard, etc., supporting hurricane and tornado disasters. Much of support went from direct to indirect NGOs. This system that has been allowed to develop has not only enriched many ex-government employees, but very (extremely) likely has covered up much evil. Thank you for this work. We must remove ALL influence from access to government entities.
